Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Coventry University on setting up its International Branch Campus at IFSC, GIFT City

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Coventry University, United Kingdom, on the establishment of its International Branch Campus, making it the first-ever foreign university to receive approval to set up through the Academic Infrastructure Service Provider route at IFSC, GIFT City.

The GIFT City Practice of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas is advising and providing end-to-end legal support to Coventry University under the International Branch Campuses and Offshore Education Centres Regulations, 2022 (IFSCA IBC and OEC Regulations), assisting in securing all necessary approvals and facilitating the setup of the campus.

The Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas team was led by Ketaki Mehta (Partner – GIFT City), with assistance from Jinisha Motwani (Senior Associate) and Hridaykrishna Motwani (Associate).

Coventry University received in-principle approval to establish its International Branch Campus at GIFT City, Gujarat, under the regulatory framework notified by the IFSC Authority on October 11, 2022. The approval was received on April 2, 2025.
