Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) acted as lender's legal counsel for PFC in its grant of rupee term loan aggregating to INR 1100,00,00,000 (Indian Rupees Eleven Hundred Crores only) to Essar Power Gujarat Limited (Borrower) for the purposes of refinancing of its existing facilities and towards renovation and upgradation works in relation to Borrower’s operational 2 x 600 MW imported coal-based thermal power plant in Salaya village, Devbhoomi Dwarka District, Gujarat (Project).
The transaction team at CAM was led by Ajay Sawhney, Partner & Head - Northern Region; and Bhupendra Verma, Partner; with the support from Vaibhav Shrivastav, Consultant; and Nikhil Gupta, Associate.
The due diligence was undertaken by Sagnik Maitra, Associate, and Nikhil Gupta, Associate.Other Parties and Advisors to the Transaction are Essar Power Gujarat Limited (Acted as Borrower).
The transaction documents were signed on 19th September, 2024.
