Namita Shetty

Namita Shetty is a Partner in the dispute resolution team at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, commonly known as CIArb. Shetty possesses an extensive background in corporate and commercial litigation as well as arbitration. Her practice encompasses a diverse array of disputes, from joint ventures and shareholder agreements to private equity transactions and media rights contracts. Additionally, her expertise extends to cases involving general commercial contracts, construction projects, securities litigation and other forms of regulatory litigation.

Shetty has appeared before various judicial and regulatory bodies, including but not limited to the Supreme Court, multiple High Courts throughout India and specialised tribunals such as the Securities Appellate Tribunal, the Appellate Tribunal for Foreign Exchange, the Debt Recovery Tribunal, the National Green Tribunal and the National Company Law Tribunal. She has also interacted with regulators such as the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Enforcement Directorate.
